Different strokes for different folks. Good reading Jimmy. The guy brags about the DD. Well that is what most of us have, and a lot of extras such as chrome piping which the other brands do not have. But if I'm not mistaken, after 07 the DD like Cat was not highway approved. I think they are now in some horsepowers. My 07 was the last Cat in a Freightliner chassis, and after that they started using Cummins. It seems I have read somewhere that they do now offer a DD and the chassis is many thousand of dollars more than with a Cummins. At least the particular MH I was reading about was offered both ways and with the DD it was much more expensive. HP I do not remember. I have no problem with a Cummins or a Cat. I have owned all three now and they are all darn good engines. I have always bought the coach that suits me best. The engine is second for me. This guy also stated that DD horsepower could be increase to 600. That might be true, but increasing HP does not increase torque. Torque will remain the same. Torque is what we diesel owners want not HP.
