Shower Valve

Tongue

The shower quit while we were at Yosemite. I took it apart but it was only 30 years old and worn out. Off to Sonora to the Lowes and we have a new one installed.
The valve and the plumbing is located in the closet behind the shower. Ours was a Mohen and so is the replacement. Good news is it didn't take much change although the plumbing to the shower had to be replaced. I was able to use brass pipes and coupling but did need to sweat piece of copper.
We have alot more water coming from the shower head now, loks like all of that Arizona hard water took it's toll.

Steve, good to know it was easy to fix. I would probably have to have a plumber sweat the copper. You are the man!

You could do this repair with only pipe, it was just easier to sweat one joint and we had the torch and soloder aboard.
If not maybe a beer could bribe someone!. Made a BIG difference, great to to have ALOT of hot water.
