We are still in Spearfish visiting friends for a few days before we head home. We really enjoyed the rally and the opportunity to meet so many Gurus that I felt I already knew based on their posts.
I am willing to start work on a rally in Austin at La Hacienda RV Resort (the site for the 1st Newell Mini-Rally back in 2009) if anyone is interested. As many of you know, deep winter and summer are NOT optimal times for rallies in Texas unless the potential for ice or sweltering heat are your thing. Therefore, Spring or Fall would be optimal.
If there is no interest that is fine. If there is, give me some feedback and we can see if we can work out some potential dates.

Austin sounds like a good location to us. Spring & Fall also seems like a good idea. Although we can't commit prior to seeing the dates due to prescheduled travel, if we are available we would attend.

The Fall is much better for us, I get real busy in the Winter through Spring.
I'd like to see parts of Texas again so hopefully it works out.

While its a little west of Austin, Sunset Point RV on Lake LBJ in Marble Falls is a pretty good park. They'll have almost every site big enough to park a big rig. Marble Falls is a good town. If you go in the spring, April especially, the blue bonnets are blooming. The area can be really enjoyable. Burnett (about 30 miles north) does a great small town festival.
You're close enough to Austin to get there, but far enough away to avoid the traffic!
