Are there any notable service issues with the 2007 - 2010 years or important items to update or replace based on a 15 year old coach. Such as Shocks/Airbags/Slide Seals/Air Fittings..ect.. I'm new to the forum but I'll look to see what tools should be with the coach. Any recommendations for inspection services that understand the Newell brand..
And are the electronics serviceable or upgradable?
We really like the interior volume of the Newell's vs some of the other coaches we have looked at.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.
Suggest you spend some time doing your first order research here.

Then come back with more specific questions. All of the rubber items you mentioned are due for replacement at that age. Add fogged windows to your list.

In 2009 they changed the silverleaf screens for the house electronics. They seem to work better than the old style from that I had.. and can still service them.

Additionally, after speaking with Silverleaf, any coach #1200 or later is RV-C. I believe about half of the coaches produced in 2007 were #1200 and above. According to SL, any of them(after 1200) can get just the upgraded screens. They offered their HMS787 which is a color capacitance touch display at $1995.
If prior to coach 1200, to upgrade screens would require an RV-C conversion which could also involve swapping out inverters(per SL).

Thanks for the additional information Justin. The 2007 model years coaches were #787-816 (20 coaches) and #1200-1214 (15 coaches). That is good to know that the coaches starting with #1200 screens can be upgraded and that #816 and prior would have to be converted to RV-C. I am surprised that the inverters would have to be changed out as well since that would significantly increase the costs.

Richard thanks and that probably would have been a better place to address my questions. I’ve sifted through a few search topics but the response's here have already been far more helpful than my searches. Maybe the “mods” can move this thread

I am honored to have been able to add something to the forum!
I don't think it was definitive that the inverters needed to be changed out, but probably needed to be capable of sending/receiving info via RV-C. I would bet that most inverters after 2005 would be capable of passing the needed info.
One more thing I can add on the RV-C system. Also according to Silverleaf, the system of that vintage was capable of doing quite a bit more than what Newell was using at the time, so they can be expanded to include additional features with a bit of wiring(if you really wanted to

To dive down a little deeper, I went through all of the same questions as you had over a year ago when I decided on Newell as my next coach. As far as the service/maintenance items are concerned, it truly depends on how the coach was maintained over the years. It only takes a couple years of sitting idle without being used for these things to start decaying quickly. I spent the better part of 4 months getting 1212 back up to snuff. I know it was maintained prior to being put up for sale as I have all of the receipts dating back to 2007, but it sat idle for quite some time before I purchased it. Electrical Gremlins, Air Leaks galore, Tires timed out, AC's not working, Slides not working properly, etc... I have just about everything worked out except the horn is not receiving the correct signal from the Smart wheel, so I will be tackling that next.
So without reserve, I can say that you will spend hours tracking down air leaks and replacing fittings(I think I have replaced 40-50 so far)even if it has been meticulously maintained. I would venture to guess that every time you start the engine, expect a leak to crop up(even if tiny)
. I have replaced at least 4 regulators as they can develop leaks as well. I have the compressor cycle time down to around 3.5 hours, but there are some crazy guys on this forum who are up to 24+ hours. Maybe one day I will get to their level!
