I had seen this when i purchased the coach
and thought it would be no big deal to fix.
However, I'm not sure how the leather valance comes off. I cant seem to locate any hardware holding it on. any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
I really hope its not attached internally to the half round pillars.

In case anyone was wondering. It's held on with a few dots of silicone and 2 tiny screws. Found the screws and removed them first then pulled. Hard.

Mine has a water stain on the wall paper. There is a gutter on the exterior which I sealed up with Dicor. Not sure if that is the source of the leak since it doesn't rain much here. Curious to know what you found as the source of the leak.

The corner of the gutter was most definitely the source of the leak. It should carry another inch or so past the edges of the door. You can see how the water over time just runs right into the corner of the door.
By the way I say you on one of the videos from Andrew Steele. Really nice coach you've got there.

Thank you! Andrew Steele and Brad Twait did a surprise visit on the last day of the rally. I honestly feel so humbled by them asking me for an interview. They dug up all the pics from the internet. What humbles me the most is that they are genuine people and they took the time to put that video together without me lifting a finger on the research. Just amazing.
I think you are right about the gutter. I will see about sourcing a longer one. Once the water leaks inside, it wicks up into the wood and spreads. My wall paper will need to be changed at that spot.

Pretty awesome video. My wall paper is trashed right there. As well as the wood behind it. I'm still digging the rotten wood out currently. Looks like I'll need to patch about 12 inches up.

i managed to get the rotten wood out and see how extensive the damage was. I only ended up cutting about 8 inches up.
I do think ill have to figure out how to remove the 1/2 round pillars so i do a nice T shaped patch panel. I'm honestly thinking about leaving it as raw wood and putting a nice stain on it instead of papering over it again. I could also install a small LED strip behind the valance and give it an underglow.
Good thing i found a local upholstery shop to work with for some other water damaged pieces.
Needed to find other things to do while waiting on the overflow tank for the Aqua-hot rebuild.
