About 2 weeks ago I noticed it was taking way longer than normal for the engine to shut down when I press the momentary engine stop switch. Normal being 2-3 seconds. This is an infrequent issue, but the last time it happened it would not shut down after several attempts. I had to finally go to the back panel to shut it down, and even then it took 20 seconds. Today I have shut the engine down 4 times and no issue. Any ideas? How do I troubleshoot this issue?

I believe that button activates a shut down solenoid that shuts off the flow of fuel to the engine. The solenoid may be getting weak and not shutting down the fuel flow completely.

Thanks Michael..... that's what I was thinking. I've got a couple of spares, so I'll replace the existing one and see if that solves the issue.
