So sorry to hear about your brother's untimely death. If he has a son that would be about 8 or 9 now, I met him in July of 2014 at Newell on his way back to Phoenix. The coach is #606, the next to the last 2001 built and likely the first Newell built with a front entry. It was built for Jacques Villeneuve. Looks like he was replacing the 120 volt AC air compressor. The third photo is the one of the basement air conditioners which has been removed from the bay with the plywood covering on it. If the engine air compressor is working properly and all the slides are in and locked, it should be able to be driven without the air compressor and air conditioner being installed assuming the air line from the air compressor has been capped off.

Michael, thank you so much! It is the same person you are speaking of, I have been on a search as to what he was trying to fix. The slides are in and locked, I know it still runs but I'm unsure if the air line has been capped off. What is pic #6? if you know what that is?
Also, if anyone in the forums know of any reputable Newell repair shops in Arizona? I've contacted a bus charter repair shop that I'm still waiting on to return my call.

Pic one is the old 120V air compressor used to provide compressed air while parked. It is probably located either in the generator compartment OR in the first bay on the passenger side.
Pic 2 is of a California Air compressor that many have used to replace the compressor in Pic 1. It is not a direct drop in. The compressor will likely be removed from the tank in order to work on the Newell.
Pic 3 is of one of the basement air units. It has been serviced previously as indicated by the service ports as the unit DID not come from SCS with the ports.
Pic 4 is a simple air pressure regulator, probably associated with air compressor replacement in pics 1 and 2.
Pic 5 is a brand spanking new compressor for the AC unit.
Pic 6 is a part I have not seen on a Newell.

Picture #6 is a generator head.
The coach was built for European wiring. I thought it had a convertor for the voltage difference for the shoreline but on the generator not sure how it was configured.

It was configured with a 220 V/ 50 Cycle Generator & Shore power system W/10KVA transformer.

If I might add my two cents worth here about the generator, the device in #6 is a Fidelity single bearing generator as @jimg stated. There isn’t any difference between what we use here in the USA and the Europe version (some countries excluded) except speed and voltage regulator settings. The engine speed is reduced to 1500 rpm and the VR is configured for 50hz as well as adjusted for 220 rather than 240. I suspect the transformer was being used to provide 240 on the secondary with a 220v primary. The secondary was likely center tapped for a neutral. But that still leaves me wondering if the generator was changed to 50hz. It would be nice to see the nameplate on the transformer.
I have no idea why the generator has been removed from the engine?
