There are eight rollers for the generator to slide out, mounted to the carriage.
The roller is a McGill CF 1 1/2 S cam follower. The stud is 5/8 inch with fine threads. $30 to $40 online.

steve m are you sure?
here is the description for the one you posted
McGill CF1 1/2SB Cam Follower, Standard Stud, Sealed/Hex Hole, Inch, Steel, 1-1/2" Roller Diameter, 7/8" Roller Width, 1-1/2" Stud Length, 5/8" Thread Size, 2-13/32" Overall Length, 0.625" Stud Diameter/
i have one that is broken and i just measured it with a digital caliper. mine is 1 3/8 diameter, 3/4 inches wide and a 1/2" diameter of the stud.
would you please check yours with a caliper and confirm?

My "97 is 1 1/2 " with a 5/8" stud with fine threads. Looks like there may have been a change between '97 & '02.

in closer look, mine has 12 of these things on it. however, the one that broke is one of two they used as a stop at the front. that is why my genny does a dance when it comes out. it goes farther on one side than the other.
i called IKO who makes mine and got the part number for the same roller cam only with a hex head to make it easier to install. it is a CR22VB
found them on ebay for 36 bucks for two of them shipped

Another example of no two Newells being the same. Magowns' '97 genset has 8 rollers, Tom's 2002 has 12 and my '99 has 10.
