That is a good question. I assume Newell is not the only vehicle that uses this size glass. Would not be economical for glass manuf to build just for the few coaches Newell makes. Must be used on other vehicles also.

I had heard that they are used in GMC buses. A quick look on the inter-webs shows that late 50s and early 60s GMC buses look very similar to the split front windows used in later Newells with split windows.

My 77 coach used glass from the GMC ASTRO trucks, but those are far smaller than om my 93 coach.

My 86 uses the left and right GMC Astro windshields, plus a 6" piece in the center because it's 102" wide. I believe the standard practice it to harvest that 6" strip from either a left or right GMC Astro windshield.
