the last two weeks has brought some progress. the inside part i am drywalling now is completed and textured, ready to paint. today clarke and i put the trim on the attic access panel. painters will be here tomorrow. i drywalled the entire front wall where the garage doors are, and the top 12' on the rest of the shop. the rest will be done later.
the rain of last week took up about 3-4 days. things are just now drying out.
the stucco has the final sand finish coat on and i am waiting a full 4 weeks for it to cure before we paint the outside. that way any cracks that show up can be taken care of. the fine sand finish is notorius for cracking.
i had the side of the shop yard shot with a transit before they put in the rv dumps and bury the septic. they had put 1 ft risers on top of the tank and at final grade they would have been sticking out of the ground, so today they removed them, put in the 2 rv dumps and buried it all. i had them stub the rv dumps up in the air and i will cut them off later at the right final grade.
it is getting there. now i have to trench for the water service (i am doing that myself), do the finish plumbing inside that we are doing now...basically the toilet and sink drains/hookups. and outside and inside hose bibs.
once the inside is painted (hopefully done this week) then the inside electrical can be done that is going to be done. (lights on the ceiling, outlets, etc.). and hook up the 200a service.
the 4 weeks for the stucco is up on the 13th. once that is done we will paint the outside and then i can do the outside electrical which will take me a few days.
so, moving slowly, but moving.

over the weekend me and a couple of buddies trenched and ran the 1" water line. trenched about 100' 2 feet deep. ran 1" pex and where it will be run over by things i put 60' of it inside a 1 1/2" pvc conduit. put a ball valve on the beginning of it for a shutoff. it is tapped into outside hose bibs that are run all over my property. wiesbro pex is pretty amazing. no crimp rings, just expand the pipe with the ring on it and shove it on the fitting and a few seconds later a permanent fit.
so now i have water. put the outside 4 hosebibs on and the valve for the toilet.
the garage door company was here this morning and replaced the bottom panel on one of the doors that had been damaged. he also totally installed that door, but the other one had a broken limit switch on the motor unit so he couldnt finish it.
last friday the stucco guy came and spent the day fixing all the hairline cracks. today has been 31 days since the finish sand finish was put on. most builders will paint a few days after the last stucco coat. i had mine wait a month for all the cracking to finish and the stucco to cure. fortunately he is willing to do it.
the painter came today and pressure washed the entire outside and taped it up to get ready to prime tomorrow.
then 2 coats of the exterior paint. should be done by thursday.
the painter who did the inside is coming back to do the ceiling another coat. i have to admit i like the semi gloss ceiling.
next week will be getting the lights and fans up and start the outside grading. so getting close to final inspection.
