Thanks! We know we could get as far as your place in Mexico with our 47' but most other places, especially RV parks, just won't accommodate the length and as you know, the electricity can be dicey in some places too. Guess we like some remote locations and there's the trade off. Generator is fine for short stays. Maybe we should install solar? Especially now that there is the thin film installation. Could put that on top fairly easily.

Another problem going south from where I am is the cost of tolls. Tolls can cost more than fuel.

Tolls and fuel combined make it a costly trip but worth it. Another reason for a 40' instead of a 47'.
