My coach has been setting plugged in for a while.i decided to start gen today. It seems that I am not getting 12v to start solenoid regardless of which of the three gen start switches I use. Im not getting 12v to the switch on the generator side. When I try to jump the solenoid it seems stuck. Is there a fuse for the 12v supply to gen switches? If so where is it?

There is a glass tube fuse on ours. There is a black twist in fuse holder on the control head of the generator. Would send a pic, but our coach is still being held hostage by Stewart-Stevenson.

Thanks for the response cc!
My '78 had the Kohler gen and I remember that fuse. The 1993 has a Yanmar...I am having trouble finding this fuse..

Dean, I thought the 12 volt fuse was on the silver control box on top and behind the Yanmar. I didn't leave enough room between the stone wall and my coach to open the generator compartment. I will try to back it up some tomorrow and get it open.

[attachment=2608]I believe you'll find the start control is "ground to start, ground to stop" so looking for +12V on the start/stop switch is going to prove frustrating. The Kohler sets do have a fuse on the control box that supplies voltage to the relays that control starting.
The attachment is a wiring diagram from Michael Day (thank you ) which may be confusing but hopefully it will help. it may not be exact for your model but for the most part , they are pretty much the same across the different models.
Hope this helps your search for the fault.

Thank you for the help guys...Michael, you don't have to move your coach just for little-ol-me. I thought the fuse might be in that box but was hoping otherwise. My manly robustness makes it difficult to access the box. I have a fork lift so I might just slide the genny out.

Based on Gordon's comments, this may not be the issue but here is the 12 volt fuse location on my generator.
Not the easiest place to get to but, at least on my coach, accessible from the drivers side. Box is located behind the Yanmar, on top of the generator head. Looks like I have some scrapping and painting to do on the exhaust manifold.
Location of Control box on my 12.5kw genset directly to the rear of the valve cover.

To follow up. I found that the starter/solenoid was malfunctioning. I removed and had a local shop rebuild it.
