Get em while you can....They're not makin em like that anymore! I looked at a beautiful FC 15 years ago before I bought our '78 Newell. I was impressed with the workmanship but the noise in the coach once the Cat 3208 was cranked up was not acceptable.

I thought it looked like a Forward Control.......wouldn't appeal to me at all.

My first diesel was one of those with the Cat engine. That was before all the new sound deadening/heat mats that are now out there. The sound was so loud, I couldn't hear the ringing in my ears.
With those in place, sound and heat is very well contained- in the engine compartment.
