The full time dream!

Just checked and no that is an Encore Park. They do give TT Members a "discount" though. I'll let you know if we get close.

just a light dusting, a little too early for us!
It has cooled off here as well but nothing that a good fire cannot fix.

We have now been in South Lake Tahoe since May 17th. It has been a wonderful summer of temps in the 70's and 80's, and very, very low humidity. Due to issues with the Encore home office we did not start working until July 3rd, and subsequently were not charged a dime for our site from May 17th to July 2nd! The deal we get is 50% off the monthly site rate plus $9/hour for our work in the office. We are only required to work 3 days per week per person. The office work is primarily checking customers into the campground as they arrive, and taking reservations for near term, and next summer. For two folks who spent their lives in the customer service arena it is "old hat" for us, and we have loved the experience. We've made some new friends, and are looking forward to being back here next summer again. We'll be here at Tahoe Valley Campground for 4 more weeks, departing on 9/2 for Cape Blanco Lighthouse in southern Oregon (just north of Port Orford, and south of Coos Bay) for a 2 month stint giving tours of the lighthouse 3 days per week for about 3-4 hours each day. Our full hookup site is free, as well as our labor.

From there we will head back to Sparks, NV to work 5 weeks at the Amazon fulfillment center in nearby Fernley, NV (staying at Sparks Marina RV Resort), then home before Christmas, and then our youngest daughter's wedding on January 17th. Before we know it we will be back in Wittmann, AZ stalking the McClouds for a few weeks once again.

Chester, we are staying at Cape Blanco Lighthouse (part of the State Park system) in the camp host section with full hookups. It looks like they do have 50 water and electric sites at $22/night. Here is the link: Cape Blanco

There is no info on their website as to whether the electric is 30, or 50 amp. The sites are on a first come first serve basis. Would think after Labor Day it would be easy to get a site, but do not know for sure. It appears they have some pretty long sites, and they are all back in.

Would love to see you!
