Still getting jacked around by Holland Coach!!!
#1

Well, I’m starting to sweat a little.  It appears Holland Coach in Michigan is still unwilling to provide even the most basic of communication with the seller of the coach I’m buying.  Apparently, the slide seal is completed and they said last Wednesday they would have the tag axle bearings seals, caliper and pads by Monday.  It’s now Thurs and  they are unwilling to even verify if the parts are, in fact, at their shop.  Let alone verify to the seller that he can pick the coach up tomorrow.  I’m flying in Sunday night and starting to worry.  I realize there’s two sides to every story and most of what I’m getting to second hand from the seller, but I have actually talked to them twice and have been less than impressed with their customer service. I don’t suppose anybody on the forum has a contact number for any upper management in the company?

The owner got a call and was told the parts are in, but they can’t get them in today and the only people qualified to put them in tomorrow are not working. They knew 2 1/2 weeks ago that I was flying in to pick the coach up. This is unbelievable. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Not making light of your situation, but it is hunting season in Michigan, Perhaps those qualified are out for hunting season. I know here in Alaska if you've got a truck in a shop and its not done before opening day, you might as well fix it yourself, because its going to be another 2 weeks.

Wow, just wow! It’s not like he just showed up at their doorstep last week. He had a three week appointment and the bus has been there for almost a month.

Update, for those who care….
Just for off the phone with Scott the service manager. I had to call Holland school bus sales to get around the secretary in service that won’t put calls through to the manager. It was a relatively pleasant conversation and it seems perhaps I can possibly keep the time line intact. In the spirit of accuracy I’ll wait to see how this all pans out before reporting back.

This is a true story about Michigan hunters.  The company I worked for developed a purchase agreement for 30 aircraft to be delivered at a pace of one per week starting October 15th.  In the early meetings with all the lawyers and high level execs in attendance The technical team was invited to attend for our input.  When the aggreement was close to being finalized our Sr VP asked if there were any other concerns, I asked when is hunting season?  You could have heard a pin drop, everyone with out exception, turned in my direction and the Sr VP asking why????  I said the high seniority technicians are going to be gone the week before and during the season and non productive the week they get back.  We added a month to the delivery schedule.
