Load adapter seal 05 Newell???????
#1

I am beyond frustrated right now!!!!!!!!!!  We are trying to find a simple 30.00 seal for my load adapter pump assembly for the cooling fan.  There are no part numbers on the load adapter that we can find. I read the topic that Richard posted some time ago and hoped that the seal would be the same. We ordered the seal, paid overnight as my coach as been sitting waiting for multiple weeks for parts. The seal was wayyy too small for my load adapter.  Service at Newell says they cannot remember ever havin a seal leak on one, they've only replaced the load adapters themselves.
I reached out to Tom and he pretty much has the same load adapter as Richard. I really am scratching my head over here and my bill is just getting higher. Talk about not too happy right now.

I am in touch with Hydraquip, they "may" have tracked down the right one, I gotta pay 75 plus shipping to find out though! I'll post my results

A couple of things may help.

In your book of manuals, is there one for an OHLA? That might clue you in on what brand or model it is.

Second, if you look at the old seal carefully with a magnifier you will see numbers on the seal if the seal was not destroyed taking it out.

Third, you can measure the diameter of the shaft, and the diameter of the bore, and get a bunch of seals to fit. The only bugaboo is that Newell specked a high pressure seal for the application because they run the case drain for the hydraulic motor through the OHLA. You can go back with a regular seal and eliminate the case drain through the OHLA by using grease in the OHLA. Let me know if you decide to go that route, and I will provide more info.
