Ok thanks for everyone's input.

Richard - you mentioned a 'homemade' version using Phifertex material.  Before I/we splurge on Magneshades, can you expand on how difficult it was to make?  Where did you source the materials?  Are you using magnets to hold it up or something else?  Inquiring minds would love to know.  It sounds like your method is equally as effective for a fraction of the price.  Do you have pics of your fine craftsmanship?

Sailrite for the material, Amazon for the magnets, you need a sewing machine, it was not difficult, about 150 bucks for the windshield and side windows.

Here is a link to a video for making your own side window covers. I expect to make some in the near future. I'm thinking storage while traveling may be easy to just put them on the inside windows if they are clean.
