Knoedler air leak
#1

I found this leak a few weeks ago - taking off the side where the air switches for controlling the 3 air bladders are (right hand side). The other switch is the raise/lower pneumatic switch just forward. Anyone work on these? Who might be able to provide the new 3 switch assembly?

It appears that Seat Specialists can get the Right Hand kit likely custom since the truckers seats are left hand. I'm picking up an inline ball valve to turn off the air line when we are not on the road...

I replaced the triple air switch last week. Pulling off the hoses was the hardest. I cut some of the hoses and pushed then back on with a drop of silicone. I am keeping the in-line shutoff valve so I can turn it off when the coach is parked.

Surprised you found a switch for that seat.  I recently had a failure in the 8-way switch on my Knoedler seat.  I contacted both Knoedler and Seat Specialists and was told that my model seat is discontinued and parts are scarce, especially right-hand switches like on our Newells.

Mine failed in the 8-way switch portion that controls the fore/aft movement.  Luckily, the wiring and motor are identical for the fore/aft and front tilt, so I swapped the two.  I now have fore/aft adjustment which is critical, but no tilt now.  I am planning on purchasing a generic reversing momentary switch for the tilt control and mounting it on the left side of the seat.

try ebay or Semi truck places that sell seats - eventually someone will replace their knoedler and you might find viable parts...

I too have been down this path to the out of production dead end. I’m interested in your findings and ultimate repair.

I see no reason why other switches can’t be adapted to our seats.

Try MS Foster company, or do a search for pneumatic rocker valve.
