La Hacienda by Lakeway is very nice but hard to get reservations.

If you are going to be there for a while we stayed in a Mobile Home park that was decent. All the campgrounds were full when we got there... let me know and I can look it up for you if you like.

On the east side of Austin, many years ago we stayed at the Oak Forest RV Park but it has been years since I have been there.

The big problem may be all the SnowBirds down in Austin, they will probably clear out in April. You might get on some of the RV Parks waiting lists.

Adrian,
Thank you for this information. Never thought of Austin, TX. as a destination for Snowbirds. I always thought of the Rio Grande Valley. Learn something new everyday. The state legislature is in session and will not complete their business until early June. That possibility could create an issue. I do not know just guessing.

There are also all the workers in the oil fields that live there. The mobile home park was a great option and was fairly easy to get in/out. You just have to find one with RV connections but most have some spots. Your coach will definitely stand out in a Mobile Home park and you will get lots of admiring comments! We have been in several around the U.S. and have had no problems and the neighbors were always nice. Most reviews of the parks concern the management because of issue usually the tenants problems not the mgt.
