Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the storm that slammed into the Cherrystone Family Camping & RV Resort in rural Northampton County in Cheriton, Virginia on July 24, 2014.
Reports from the Virginia State Police indicate that 2 people were killed and at least 25 injured, 3 critically. A tornado warning was in effect at the time.

We are about 100 miles south of there camping at Rodanthe on the Outer Banks. We did not have the storm that passed through at Cherrystone although we did have some fierce winds yesterday.
