Jun-Air Oil Separator
#1

Was hoping to use my new to me Jun-Air 6-4 on my upcoming trip tomorrow, but by reading through some old posts it just hit me that I don't have an oil separator.  The compressor came with a Norgren B07-280-M1MG which to me purely looks like a pressure regulator and filter.  Could someone shoot me in the right direction as to what a good separator would be?  Also does it get placed before that Norgren or after?

Would also love to know for those that use the oil model like do you only use Jun-Air oil or do you have another recommended oil that is more readily available?  Looked like there was a some oil out there that was used in dental offices, etc.

I have not used an oil separator with the Jun Air.

I have been using a Jun Air oil knockoff from Amazon without problems. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MPVGJHK/ref...F9kZXRhaWw

Well that just makes my day.  Couple questions.

1.) Any issue with adding this oil to the existing fresh Jun-Air?  Assuming not.  When it got shipped he drained the oil into a quart BUT during shipping it fell over and leaked out a bit.  I'm still at just maybe 1/4 above the fill line, but I'd like to top it off if I can.

2.) This trip came up without much notice and I didn't mount the Jun-Air in the bay yet.  My plan was to just plumb it into the rear air port when parked.  I did this once before and when a compressor shot craps and it was raining, but just wanting to make sure there is no issue doing it this way.

Lastly...darn this is a nice compressor.  Looks and runs like new with built in pump switch and unloader.  Really, really slick and very quiet.  Thanks a ton for showing me what would work if I wanted a Jun-Air.
