Guy I've tried battery post adapters before without success. They kept loosening. But you can try using a nylock locknut and that may help keep them tight. My fix was to replace the cables with the proper ends.

I am sure you are correct. The battery shop has stalled providing the adapters that he claims should have been provided in the boxes with the batteries. From what I have read on the internet (must be correct) most 8D AGM batteries for commercial use come with flag terminals or post terminals. The batteries I received have what are called button terminals, flush in the battery case, with what looks like an M6 ? threaded hole.. Tomorrow it will be one week that they have not provided the adapters. I think that new cables would be the best solution. I may need to take a battery to a local boat supply who does cables to get it right.
