The fast idle speed is running around 1600rpm. That seems to be to high or is it just me? How do I adjust that? It’s a 1989 with an 8V92
Thanks

I believe you have the DDEC I or II. The engine computer controls the high idle speed since there is no mechanical governor that can be mechanically adjusted. I believe you will need to find someone with a DDEC programmer. The common ones used with other engines won't work with this beast, from what I've read.
1600 is higher than mine (1100 or so) but it won't hurt the engine, but it does distress the ears.
