I took your advice and this morning tested the power going to the inoperative solenoid and found that it was getting around 9 volts, so I also tested the good one above it and it was getting about 10.5 volts. I then plugged the power source from the good solenoid into the bad one and it still did not magnetize. I am sure its a bad solenoid so I will be ordering one from Newell on Monday.
