Picked up my re powered coach
#1

My wife and I left WI this morning in a near blizzard.
Picked my coach this evening around 6.
The 8.3 cummins and 6 speed has much better acceleration than the 903.
Quieter, runs down the road nice.
No more smoky blue clouds when it's idling; very happy.

We are camped at the Quaw Paw casino in Miami.
We're going to stop in for a factory tour in the morning.

Thats great Scott, I feel the same way about mine, how is it on fuel?
When I was at Newell last spring they were excited to see my repowered coach. Im sure they will like yours.

Great people at the factory.  We were there for almost 2 hours, nice tour, very friendly, took the paperwork to get our coach registered in the book, even though the only thing they could sell us was a t shirt and a hat.
I spent several hours by Mike today taking care of a few minor wiring issues and stripping the donor coach of a few items.
Power is good, not sure about fuel mileage yet, only put about 300 miles on so far.
It's been headwinds and pretty hilly on 44; lots of up hills at full boost.

Camping in Cuba Mo for tonight.
Hope to make it home tomorrow before the snow rolls in.

Made it home yesterday afternoon, dry roads all the way.

8 mpg, I can live with it based on the hills and bucking a headwind.
I don't think taller gears would have helped, the egt's were near max and it dropped out of 6th a couple times on the hills.
The 903 would have been atrocious.

We're headed to Mississippi at the end of March, I'll see how it is going downhill.
