I was at the Newell factory this week and since the question has come up in the past on the first Newell with slides, I did a little research. There was ONE 1996 model Newell with a slide. That was coach # 436. Unfortunately, 436 was totaled in a roll over accident.
The second Newell with a slide was coach #440, a 1997 model.
