One of my friends owns a Tuning shop for MB's and such. He started making air dams for all cars that need to scoop more air in after they reprogram their ECUs. I asked if he could make a couple of radius curved thing-a-ma-bobs for my coach. I've been wanting to make something prettier for the front where the solar panels are exposed at the leading edge. In two days they drafted a design and had it in my hands. Today I picked them up along with a piece of 5052 aluminum stock as the main windbreaker.
I worked on it when the sun went down. That 5052 aluminum stock is a nice hardened alloy. Super light but a pain to cut. I was able to follow the unusual curves of the roof and got it cut very close. It will get Dicor as a final seal and of course paint. For now it's all mocked up sitting loose and waiting for stainless brackets and hardware. That will be tomorrow evenings project!

I had the same shop make me a smaller deflector for a clump of wiring which can be seen from the front. They were satellite wires, cable, radio and phone. The only one in use is the radio but I kept the others for future use as they are tucked and rolled under the solar panel. This little deflector cleans up the front. I will have CDI paint it. For now it has a base coat of paint for purdyness.
