I went and bought some RV sewer hose parts but they do not fit on the black tank output connection. Seems as if it is too big for the newer stuff to fit onto. I really do not want to replace the valve at this stage. Is there an adapter that goes from the Thetford to the Rhino line of hoses? The thetford connection has four rectangular nodes rather than the small round type.

I figured it out. There is a Valterra adapter. Ordered on Amazon

Had the same issue with mine. The Valterra adapter was the only one I could find that worked with the new hoses and the old connection. With my set up I have to remove the adapter when when I'm done emptying the tank because the cap doesn't fit in the adapter. Not a bid deal but.... make sure you keep track of the adapter o-ring as it fits kind of loose. I ordered a couple extra after I lost the first one. The adapter doesn't seal very well without the o-ring and it was an unpleasant lesson.
