Thought y'all might be interested in this picture. This is a road construction project on Hwy. 50 near our cabin in Colorado. An excavator lifted up by a large crane is being operated by the guy in the blue basket lifted up by another large crane. They're blasting and removing part of the mountain to straighten out the road.
I'm glad to see this being used. Its making its way into the mainstream and becoming more available. For a long time, Heavy equipment operators have claimed "courage" over safety and offered to perform work like this with manned equipment to there peril. Remotes can save lives, equipment and family's (& coworkers) from dealing with tragedy. It bring tears to my eyes remembering people lost in near same situations.
Very cool ! Thanks for posting.
