Personal locator beacon!  Since Cindy and I started traveling in the Newell and now in the Lazy Daze we've had a SPOT PLB in my pocket or backpack.  In light of Clarkes recent scare and knowing that quite a few of you hike, bike, and off road ride in areas that have weak or non-existent cell signals I would suggest that you (you know who you are) look into buying one of these.  Garmin also makes one.
It could make a huge difference in getting back home safely.  Or getting back to your loved ones at all.
