I would like to post a couple of pics to a tailpipe upgrade that I needed to do. When we came from Canada in late Oct we noticed after pulling a long grade we had pulled over to check the newell and our jeep toad. Upon checking tires on the newell ect we proceeded to check the Jeep. We could actually smell rubber as approaching the Jeep. The drivers side tires on the Jeep were so hot we could not touch them. Passenger tires were cool to touch. With that said I order a 6 inch elbow to our parker strip property. This is my finished product. The elbow once cut and fit into postion I took it to Havasu city to have a ceramic finish applied. Though I would share my upgrade so others can benefit.
Very nice. Many of the wide, short exhausts that Newell installed during the early 1990's had a deflector shield mounted at the top that forced that airflow down rather than straight back onto the toad.
I like it too. I did something similar with a previous coach, cept I had it coated flat black. Not so shiny, but for some reason the tailpipe tended to turn black with use.
