Southco Polar Magnetic Cabinet Latch - hypoxia - 10-23-2024

Does anyone have a source for the interior door & cabinet latches in the 2020P model coach.  They appear to be Southco MP-04-33-55.  The plastic fingers that push the magnet allowing the door/drawer to open broke on one of mine.

Hi Jim,

Yes, that's the correct part number.

I bought one from Newell a couple years back...for a mere $65 after not finding another source for any cheaper, nor the ability to purchase just one.

Looks like it's still the case, and I fear they may be getting scarce...ugh.

Steve, turn the 6 upside down to see the new price at a 50% jump with no availability until sometime in November from Newell.  Austin Hardware minimum order of ten @ about $60.38 each with a 4-6 week delivery.  It's just the small fingers on the push piece that broke.  I tried JB Weld but it didn't hold up.  That would be a good project for someone with a 3D printer.

I took the latch from the movable console and put a small piece of velcro on that small door.  I then used that latch on the cabinet with the broken latch.  That will probably be a permanent fix.
