Looking for a Late 90's Coach - Cuure - 10-16-2024

Hi all.  Looking for a late 90's 40-42 foot non-slide coach with a Detroit 60.  Anyone have any hidden gems they haven't posted yet?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome, Michael Day (Fulltiming) might post on this and tell you there are very few late 90s coaches shorter than 45' and no slides. I recall one that was special order 38' but believe it was sold within the last couple years.

Hmmmmmmm, that would be a pink unicorn.

RE: Looking for a Late 90's Coach - Fulltiming - 10-17-2024

From model years 1997-1999 there were a total of 101 Newell built. The last non-slide Newell built during this time period was #507, a 1999. During those three years, there were no Newells built in 1997 less than 45', 3 in 1998 #470, 487 and 496, and 2 in 1999 #511 and 526 that were less than 45' long for a total of 5 coaches. Since I don't have 100% complete data, I know that 470 had a single slide but have almost no information of 487 and 496. In 1999, both 511 and 526 had 2 slides.

In summary, the non-slide 1997-1999 Newells less than 45' is a maximum of 2 and likely 0. #487, a 41'0", and 496 a 39'3", are the only possibilities and I have never seen either of those listed for sale. The only good news is that virtually all of the coaches in those years had the Detroit Series 60, #509, a 1999, had a Cat C-12.

If you go back to 1996, all were non-slide except #436, the first single slide and virtually all had the Detroit Series 60 but most were also 45'. 1996 had 5 coaches less than 45', #405 was 43'6", #411 was 41'6", #421 was 42'6". #428 was 38'2" (no tag), and #434 was 42'6".  EDIT: as noted in David post and my post below, there were 7, not 5, coaches in 1996 less than 45'. Add to the list: 426 is 42'6" and 427 is 42'0"

You are truly looking for the unicorn.

You sir are an absolute wealth of information. Did you work at Newell?

Thank you for all the info. I found Coach #399 for sale that is 42.6 ft in length so was hoping there may be more out there.
