Outback Inverter Filter - How to Secure It? - hypoxia - 04-25-2023

The Outback VFX Inverters have a round filter that are pushed into place with nothing retaining them except friction.  It falls out on rough roads and then don't accomplish any filtering.  I was wondering if anyone has devised a way to retain them?  I put a wad of Tacking Putty on each side as an experiment.

Access to the filter is by removing 4 screws holding the inverter front cover on (Phillips #2), the filter is under it.
