Do any of you know whether there are national parks that would accommodate a 45 foot rig?

Mark, while we are only 36' long, we have found that the best way to determine whether you will fit is to drive into that park in a vehicle and see if #1, there are spots long enough, and #2, whether your particular configuration will fit. We are staying in a National Park here in Maryland (Greenbelt Park) just outside D.C. The website says 36' and under.....with our trailer we are 62' long. We drove our car in first and actually found 2 spots that would accommodate our length without dropping the trailer. The limiting factor is the narrow interior roads that will limit your ability to get to a given spot that may fit you. The only way to know for sure is to go there in person in a smaller vehicle first, and check it out.

Gulf Islands National SeaShore is the only? Nat’l Park with two divisions in two states…. FL panhandle and Biloxi/Ocean Springs, MS. We stayed at the Davis Bayou camp area at the MS division right in Ocean Springs (two miles from the grandkids). Very small quaint campground with about 50-60 asphalt sites spread over several treed acres. At least 8 or 10 sites for big rigs— 55-60 feet long. $22/night —- $11 with the Senior Pass …. The very helpful rangers suggested renting a second site if you have a large toad. Water and 50amp at all sites … and a dump station. Small older clean bath house with plenty of hot water. Ocean Springs has festivals of some sort nearly every month. Several clubs around the South will have small rallies there.
