Shower tower - B and C - 04-20-2022

Hi everyone,
I am looking for any advice on removing the shower tower.  I need to take the shower tower off to replace a shelf which screws on from the back.  I did see where there are two brackets, top and bottom, which have two set of nuts and bolts on each.  I tried this pm to remove them but appear to need much smaller hands to get to them.  I've attached a couple of images of the tower and the screws I need to get to.

Take off all the escutcheon plates around the handles and shower head. Then pry gently at the edge. I think you will find it is held at the edge with silicone. Go easy the material is brittle.

That does not look like the original Newell setup.

I am guessing you will need to figure out how to get the top and bottom brackets off,  then (like Richard said)…there  might be silicone on the sides.

I have attached some pics of what 653 (2003 vintage) looks like.

Thanks Richard and Bill,
I checked and the piece is not sealed on the sides with silicon.  Guess i will have to figure out how to get to the brackets if I want it off.  IF it only had another inch of room....

Since you have brackets at top AND bottom…my first guess is that the thing slides in and is held by the brackets. Loosen up the bottom ones and see if the bottom will slide forward. It may be that you only have to get the nuts to turn a bit to loosen.

For what its worth.
