Has anyone ever redone their waste (black tank) piping?
I have the old Thetford dump valves on mine. The gray water bypass valve, the one that isolates the black tank, is leaking internally. These have to be unscrewed and be split apart not like the Dupre valves with the removable top. I'd like to replace it with a different valve.
The main waste dump valve is also showing it's age so I'd like to replace that one also.
I won't do this until next winter when I have a week or so to work on it but would like to start getting ideas.
I guess the fittings are all glued and I won't be able to take them apart to put in new valves so I'll plan to just buy all new fittings & valves and rebuild a new system.
Any idea how to remove the pipe from the tank?

wally did a really nice job on redoing all of his. i hope wally will comment or show pictures.
to make it easier, what he did was cut it in front of the tank so he didnt have to take it out. he cut it far enough out that he could put one of the rubber sewer couplers that have the clamps. he did that in several places so it could be removed again if needed if i recall. it was a real nice job that he did.

Sounds much easier to do it this way.
Hopefully Wally is coming to Spearfish, I'd love to see how it turned out.
