Trailer wheel bearings EZLube System - Guy - 06-24-2019

We pull a new to us 2005 Continental enclosed 26 ft trailer for our car and toys and everything else that won't fit in the coach. We pulled it 10 thousand miles last year, and I think it's time to inspect and service the axles. Today we put new Goodyear Endurance Trailer tires on it, and sent the "China bomb" tires to the recycler .It has two Dexter 5000 pound axles, that have Dexter Ezlube grease systems. Being old school, I have always pulled brake drums, removed, inspected and cleaned bearings and hand packed them with fresh grease, installing a new seal . Any experience with this Ezlube system? Sounds to good to be true.

Go to you tube and search for Lubricating the Dexter E-Z Lube Axle Bearing System
The system works pretty well but there is no substitute for a full inspection.  It’s not difficult to do, just messy and time consuming but a lot better than downtime alongside the road and less expensive than having a mechanic.
