Just returned from having normal service completed and now my speedo isn't working. Cruse control still works. Need some trouble shooting advice. 94 with series 60.

If it is the same type unit as used on the 1992's, there could be two likely causes. The sensor near the transmission or the speedometer head itself would be the most likely. Mine has two sensors on a small disk attached to the driveshaft next to the transmission. One sends a signal to the cruise control and one sends a signal to the speedometer/odometer. I have had to adjust the spacing on these sensors before. You should just be able to get a slight tension on something the thickness of a credit card (I prefer to use a plastic hotel door entry card rather than risk messing up a good credit card). The spacing if you have a feeler gauge is 0.03". If the spacing is correct, then either the sensor itself is defective OR the speedometer head has gone bad. The VDO speedometer unit in mine is not repairable. It is electrical so if it suddenly just quit rather than wandering around or pegging, it is possible that a connector on the rear of the speedometer came loose. If the connections are good, you can look online at VDO gauges to find one the same size and style and replace it.
The Speed Sensor on my coach is an ISPro #R-8932 and the Speedometer is a VDO 437152. Can't guarantee these didn't change between 1992 and 1994.

I had an issue with our speedo right after service. I think the tech got a gob of grease on sensor head. The problem eventually fixed itself on this one. We did have Newell replace both sosor & speedometer had a few years back. It was really nice to be driving a Newel with "0" miles in it!!!

Since we are talking about speedometers, My 1978 speedometer was sticking. I bought a new VDO speedometer from Bob's Speedometer in Howell, Michigan. After removing my original speedometer I found that the light bulb in it had broke and was jamming the mechanism. I repaired and installed the original. I still have the new in box VDO speedometer if any body needs one.

I failed to mention that the Ck Trans light stays on also. Could these 2 items be related?

Depends on which transmission you have. If you have the HT741 ATEC or WTEC they could be related.

Allison 4 spd which I believe is HT741? I'll check tomorrow to be sure,

You likely have the HT741 ATEC transmission, especially if you have the 2-stroke engine. If you can wait a week until I have e access to my ATEC manual I'll be able to tell you if they are related. It's possible they are related.
