Generator Safety Catch Jammed or Broken -
Richard - 09-10-2014
Mine is not broken again.
However, while working on the blower a eureka moment came to me. It would be possible to remove the blower instead of the rear generator panel to jimmy the catch open. It might easier to remove the blower than the rear panel on a coach with IFS. Removing the blower opens an access hole on the same side as the catch. You might need a mirror and light if you can't crawl into the blower bay. A long pry bar will easily wedge in the catch like using a credit card to open a locked door. Thanks to Gordon Jones for that pearl.
I thought I would post this with a title that a likely search engine would find, in case someone in the future pulls the catch loose from the cable.
