Hi Marc,
I believe that if the rig weighs more than 26,001 # a DOT number and CDL may be required. I have put 150,000 miles on a Dodge 3500/Cummins 4 door with a Banks tuner pulling 30,000+most of the time. My routes never involve any significant hills though. It gets 11-12 mpg towing and 20 mpg with no trailer.

F-350 Crewcab 4X4 (with good trailer brakes). I would rather push a Ford than drive a Dodge or Chevy! It thoughts like these that have me waiting on an 8V92 head (kind of like Waiting for Gadeau) instead of driving a Cummins powered coach. LOL

Here we go again............ I really want a Chevordaram Chevrolet transmission and suspension, Ford interior (love the King Ranch), and Ram Body Style/Cummins engine.
Seriously Marc a towing truck can be personalized to the point that you really need to give us more parameters .....
