No overflow - I checked the coolant after letting it cool off for an hour or so and it looks to be full - I’m wondering if the tstat is working - how can I tell the coolant is flowing?

With rear AC on high - Running for about ten minutes and cap off - not much movement upper hose:120 at radiator; lower hose at radiator: 135 tstat: 125 on top
Just noticed the coolant bubbling tstat shows about 150 or so

Blower motor is running now and rear AC is working fine so will test for a while and call it a night

My blower runs while extended .. I would replace t stat with a good quality one.

Look, I had a small generator in my Leisure Travel Van. It had only 30 hours on it and kept overheating. We figured it out. We had driven down a very dusty dirt road. The road kicked up fine powder. Even though my generator was not running, the powder got into the air intake of the generator. Once we reached a cummins dealer in Elko Nevada, they performed the service. The mechanic came into the waiting room and showed us the air filter which was throwing off all kinds of this fine powdery dirt. There was no question that was the problem. I think If I did this again, I would cover the air intake when going down dirt roads or make some sort of fitting that I could put on or take off.

Big cows I changed the air filter and all filters before we left - good thought though. I started the genset again and let it boil for a while and watched the water going through it after about 150F - we turned on the ACs and went to bed - the genset ran all through the night with no problem at around 80F ambient temps outside. Will see how it does during the day today.

Adrian, when you were saying it was getting up to 220 on the analog gauge what was the temp on the thermostat housing? For me there is about a 30 degree difference between the gauge and the housing temp with a digital gun.

For you guys fighting overheating issues.
You might want to expand your diagnosis to include:
What amperage are you pulling with all A/C units on high? Mine started running hot when one of the compressors started going bad and pulling excess amps.
Is the gen compartment sealed in a way to force all the air from the blower THROUGH the radiator and out the undercoach exit? Look at this carefully.
Is the hose from the air cleaner to the turbo nice and firm and round OR has it turned to mush like mine did and restrict air into the engine?
