R22, checked out the heating mode yesterday and it works but really will not have any good data till winter comes. So far its working perfect except the fan is too loud and I need to be able to control it, so I will dwell into using the old cruiseair brain and thermostat.

Well I'm fond of mini splits but thats different. Jim I put one on our Airstream Interstate but spent over $500 on the box it was in.

The output from the Mini board to the Cruiseair blower is 120V 60 Hz?

The signal from the mini compressor is weird, 2vac then 4vac then 10vac then 12vac then repeats itself in the AC waveform there is pulse width modulation in both top and bottom waveform, this is way above my paygrade stuff. The output to the cruisair blower comes from the cruisair brain, when original cruisair thermostat see's the need to cool it puts out a 120vac signal to a solid state relay in the old cruisair compressor to turn on the compressor, all I did is hijack that signal to a small 120vac relay to duplicate the mini split evaporator signal from zone A to zone B telling the mini split compressor to open the valve for zone B and cool. I made the mini split compressor think it was talking to another LG evaporator but its really only taking to zone A.
The cruisair evaporator works very well on the mini split compressor BUT its very noisy so we are only going to use the galley evaporator when the inside is super hot and needs cooled down quick. We did this in the Prevost and as far as I know we might be the first to pull this off in a bus using a mini split compressor and a cruisair evaporator however I did have a HVAC guy who lives in Las Vegas send me a message and said he has been converting old R22 home units to big mini split compressors using the original air handler evaporator inside for years and it works very well and saves a lot of money in electricity.

The cruise airs on my Wanderlodge all use a TXV valve (thermal expansion valve), so they are rather forgiving when it comes to different gas. I was converting all mine from R22 to R407c and knock on wood they have run just fine. The TXV's are easy, they meter the refrigerant required at the evaporator so all they really need is to be flooded with refrigerant, its not like a fixed orifice tube which requires the refrigerant level to be more exact to operate properly.

Interesting I installed thermal expansion valves on the r22 system in the back part of our house at the advice of one of my friends who was a contractor HVAC guy right off I had problems so I drew down the system removed the thermal expansion valves and went through the regular orifice which worked fine but that was 25 years ago and r22 was the norm for all HVAC at that time.

Nice diagram you've done! The grey box with the circuit board mounted inside, is that a Cruise Air component? If so, is there one for each Cruise Air unit?
