Richard in my solar install I have two 8d house batteries out of the six that I will continue to use as house batteries, the other 4 8d will be in series to make 48 volts for the 8kw split phase growatt inverter charger. I also will have two 8d chassis batteries for the engine. We will have one of the eleven 525W solar cells dedicated to the charge the house and chassis batteries using two separate MPPT victron solar chargers. In the event I have a problem with the chassis batteries I will still be able to use the merge switch but have never turned it on so as of yet. Soon as I get a car sold or two I plan on purchasing enough Lifepo4 batteries for the house and solar system then the merge switch will be disabled. Still learning from you all thanks!
