Beautiful..
How are you doing with the weather ?

Dealing with the weather just fine now. Lots of snowfall, sort of glad I did not invest a lot of $ into a device to protect the slides from icing over, because as you can see from the pictures it would have done nothing due to the extreme amount of ice build up which occurs nightly after a snowfall.

Beautiful scenery. I believe everyone should experience a picturesque winter. I would be all over that with my Lumix S1R.
The ice just creates a decent wind blocker for your slides!

Never closed out our Alaska winter camping adventure, mainly because we are still in Alaska! After our first year we bought a home with a heated shop large enough for our rig. Worst damage we suffered from our winter living in the Coach was a busted main air compressor, which I belive was the result of it freezing so often- thankfully I already had a backup. We now keep the coach in the shop from about October to May and use our converted shuttle bus or camper van for winter camping. Thinking about taking out the Newell in winter but the ice sticking on the rubber slide seals has me a bit worried!

It's interesting hearing the issues with cold weather. It doesn't sound like it would work very well North of the Alaska Range where it gets much colder than Wasilla.
