The inner liner of the hose collapses and causes restriction.

RE: Grohe LadyLux kitchen faucet hose - Land Yacht - 09-10-2017

I took the entire hose out and removed the quick disconnect coupling, then inspected the hose, no restriction there. I then put a bucket under the pipe where the quick disconnect connects to and turned on the water seems reasonable there.

I blew through the quick disconnect, and was not impressed with throughput. Could this be clogged?

I disassembled the faucet on-off handle, and pulled out the cartridge. Looked OK but did not dive into disassembling that one, so it is still suspect in my mind. I will call Grohe in the morning.

Don't forget that Grohe has a lifetime warranty and should send you parts for free.

I opened the shower and kitchen sink lines at the water valve manifold, and then at each device, and blew air with my portable air compressor backwards through the line. When I reconnected, I had much better water pressure, but don't feel the issue is solved. Calling Grohe tomorrow to troubleshoot and hopefully learn how to check all screens and restrictors because the ones I could find in the washer and outside faucets were clogged.

I am learning way too much about my water system...

I know this is an old thread, but I was just researching for our leaking Grohe Ladylux kitchen faucet so I was kinda excited to see that maybe Grohe would send me some repair parts.

I called their customer service and I got stonewalled, no warranty unless you have a receipt and also they did not have the bone colored spray head replacement any more. They were willing to sell me the cartridge for over $100, I found it on Amazon for $52, says its sold from the Grohe store so hopefully its not a knock off part. They have a chrome spray head on Amazon for $67 so I may go ahead and get that and try to paint it the bone color. Will see what it looks like on the faucet. Just figured I would update this if anyone else was thinking they were going to get some free parts, well maybe you will have better luck than me, I am definitely not a salesman.

Just an opinion here, Grohe is overpriced for what it is. For the money one would spend to repair it, you could get a really nice kitchen sink faucet from Lowes or Home Depot. Same with the shower and bathroom hardware. Especially if its shiny brass colored! A touch of modern update to brushed nickel or antique bronze.

Yea Carl, that was my initial plan, but I am not in charge of the decor, so I do what I am told haha.

Fair point

I contacted Grohe for a replacement part (they had sent me the kitchen faucet head N/C in the past).
Once I said RV, they told me the warranty doesn't cover RV installations.
FYI, say home not motorhome!
