Wow, it’s been a while! I’m now to the point of re-building the ceiling in the salon slide out. Things have changed drastically in the last year. The coach is happily parked in a fully enclosed building and I am now building cabinets (for our home). I have a complete shop full of tools that I should be able to handle the plywood and vinyl with no problems. The building is long enough that I can easily build the new trim pieces onsite. This will be a fun project!

I have some "cracking" of the mirror plexi glass panels, I was told that most do?? Has anyone replaced this stuff? I think I'd like to just get rid of it altogether if I had my druthers

what many have done and what newell will suggest is to cut accent pieces of the same mirrored plastic panels and glue them over the cracks and do them in pairs to make it look like it was supposed to be there.
another option is to just replace it with laminate mounted on thin masonite and glue it up. i did that in the center trim in the galley area.

I’m finally getting back around to this thread and looking at pulling the ceiling out. I figure if nothing else having the ceiling and sidewalls out will take Newell much less time to make the new pieces for the ceiling. I also like the idea of using mooreland ultralight plywood and will look that up shortly.
